“If we put a smile on people’s faces and help our community we have done our jobs as entertainers.”

We are operated by a non-profit organization, Bearded Lady Productions. We produce events for fundraising and fund distribution to local organizations that promote the acceptance and equity of all people, and who encourage the welfare of our community members. Want to help us? DONATE HERE. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
Welcome to Asheville Drag Brunch, the city's beloved showcase of local and visiting professional drag queens. Our lively event is a celebration of diversity, community, and charitable giving. We partner with rotating local 501(c)3 organizations to raise funds for their important causes.
Our high-energy shows take place at various venues across town and feature fast-paced, friendly entertainment. A ticket to brunch guarantees you a donation to the charity of the day, a seat at a table or bar, a delicious brunch, and an hour-long drag extravaganza. Don't forget to bring some extra cash to tip the performers - this is a key way they raise additional funds for the local non-profit.
Get ready to clap, cheer, and be dazzled by our glamorous queens, who twirl and dance in sky-high heels with spot-on lip-syncing. Our events attract a diverse range of guests of all ages, genders, and races, all there to celebrate special occasions - from birthdays and bachelorette parties to anniversaries and even divorces!
Please join us in supporting our community and local non-profits at Asheville Drag Brunch - where the littlest big show in town packs a punch!
And now a more formal version:
Bearded Lady Productions is a nonprofit organization that creates community-centered events where celebration directly supports meaningful change. Since 2019, our events have redirected more than $100,000 to local nonprofit partners working to address homophobia, transphobia, racism, poverty, and access to essential needs such as food, housing, healthcare, and legal services. By bringing people together through joyful, inclusive experiences, we make community care visible, accessible, and collective.
Our signature events, including Asheville Drag Brunch and Asheville Drag Bingo, celebrate queer joy while intentionally showcasing queer, transgender, and BIPOC performers whose voices and talents deserve to be seen and celebrated. We partner with organizations such as Blue Ridge Pride, Pisgah Legal Services, Black Wall Street AVL, The Trevor Project, Tzedek Social Justice Fund, Jewish Family Services of WNC, and Tranzmission, helping connect community members with organizations making a lasting impact.
More than entertainment, our events create opportunities for people to engage with causes they care about in a welcoming, festive environment. Guests enjoy unforgettable performances while knowing their attendance directly supports the featured nonprofit, and performers further raise funds through audience tips. By showing up consistently throughout the year with new partners and new causes, we continue to strengthen connections, expand visibility for marginalized communities, and build a culture where supporting justice, equity, and community well-being is paramount.
